Half-day microplastics workshop for educators

Learn about where microplastics come from, how they are brought to water environments, and how they impact organisms in water and beach environments. Workshop will demonstrate hands-on activities that can be done to teach students about plastic densities and how to look for microplastics in the environment. Take home information and activities useful in environment education/science.

  • For nonformal educators or classroom teachers of grades 3-Adult. Qualifies as Criterion III, 4 hours for NC EE Certification.

  • $25 workshop fee includes curriculum ideas, hands-on activities and lunch!
