Oak Island Farmers Market

Each summer we look forward to seeing our fellow Oak Island Beach Lovers at Monday morning Farmers Markets at Middleton Park. Visit our booth to learn about our volunteer activities and ways to show you love the beach! Buy your OKI Beach Lover t-shirts, hats, tumblers, and tote bags here!

Take our “Beach Lover” pledge, and write your name on our beach banner!

The market is from 8 am – 1 pm in summer, but our BPS participation schedule varies, so watch our Facebook page for this year’s dates.

Christmas by the Sea Parade

Oak Island Beach Preservation, Inc. enters a float in the annual Christmas parade on the first Saturday in December. Here are some recent entries.

Join the fun and welcome the holidays to the beach!

Earth Day on Oak Island

Earth Day

The Earth Day program, held in Middleton Park on the Friday nearest April 22, is organized by the Parks and Recreation Department and attracts enthusiastic school groups and families. Oak Island Beach Preservation, Inc. hosts a booth to teach the groups about the beach and their responsibilities for it. A Beach Lover sticker and a craft activity are take-home reminders for the young people.

Spring Fling

Oak Island’s yearly spring event begins the season’s vendor markets on the island. This is the community’s first chance to come out and meet some of our members, learn about what we do, take our Beach Lover pledge, purchase our merchandise to help raise funds to support our mission, and learn how you can donate your time and talents by becoming a member!
