In general, participants are responsible for:

  • Cleaning the parking area associated with the access, and cleaning the beach (from the seaward toe of the dune/first line of vegetation to low tide) halfway to the next access in both directions. Cleaning should be done at least once a month, especially before, during or after major holidays and events.
  • Requesting pick-up of storm debris, tires and other large or heavy items.
  • Reporting damages to parking areas, signs, sand fence, dune vegetation and trash cans. Contact same as above.
  • Helping occasionally with other access-related projects, if requested.
  • Maintaining the dog bag box for accesses with a mailbox and for some other specifically designated accesses.

Dog Boxes

Did you know?

We have built and maintain/repair/replace as needed, over 60 doggie boxes along the beach! Do you know how many doggie bags we supply to our access points each year??? A whopping 144,000 bags! We order 24 cases, with 30 boxes per case, and 200 bags per box! That’s a LOT of “mess” that could be left on the beach…

Thank you for always cleaning up after you pet!
